You never want faulty parts inside your vehicle. If you've dealt with broken parts, you know the trouble they can cause. Recently, GM released a service update for the 2023 Chevy Colorado trucks dealing with engine control module (ECM) issues that cause issues in the fuel injector flow.
Why Faulty Fuel Injectors are a Problem
When the engine control module is faulty – in any vehicle – the fuel injector's rate of flow can be incorrect. If there's either too much or too little fuel being fed to the vehicle, issues arise within the engine, and that's no cheap fix.
This fault affects Chevy Colorado trucks with the 2.7-liter, L2R turbocharged engine and the 2.7-liter, L3B turbocharged engine. This fix is available (and applied) to both 2023 Chevy Colorado trucks at Haselwood Chevrolet Buick and whenever a customer brings in their truck.
